  • Be able to spot the bias traps you fall into when making decisions, and take appropriate action to avoid them

  • Know how to use a variety of critical decision making tools to help you first identify the problem you are trying to solve before generating possible courses of action

  • Use an evaluation tool that moves decision making away from gut reaction and into rationale thinking

  • Understand the importance of considering risk and know how to use a risk matrix to decide whether to manage, mitigate or move away
