Fantastic Facilitation

The aim of a facilitator is to create an open and energised environment within which people can share, challenge, generate and plan. To master it, you’ll need the awareness of a conductor, the spontaneity of an improvisor and the gravitas of a head teacher. Get ready to practise.

You will:

Know the importance of content goals and be able to ensure that every group you facilitate is clear about what they want to achieve
Be able to use a variety of facilitation tactics and approaches to keep a group engaged, energised and collaborative
Know how to manage common tricky situations including the over-talker, the quiet group and the people who don’t want to be there
Be clear about your own facilitation style and how to incorporate your unique ingredients into every session you lead
